Angelina Jolie has revealed that she was inspired to get involved in charity work by the efforts of the late Princess Diana.
The actress has praised the work of the Princess in Angola and Bosnia, especially in regards to her help with the Red Cross campaign to eliminate landmines.
Jolie commented: "Diana inspired me immensely. I followed the work she undertook very closely, especially the issue of land mines. It was fascinating that she chose that cause."
Speaking in the same week a memorial concert was held in honour of the princess, she added: "No matter what I do, I always want to go to refugee camps and meet with the most unfortunate. I have found it a privilege - a way of making me feel alive."
