
The rockers will be performing at the gig at Wembley, but they have been planning to then travel in a large tour bus to the airport along with police escorts. They were then intending to jump on a private jet and be taken to Scotland so that they can play at the T in the Park festival.
But the former Vice President, who is a keen environmentalist, has spoken to lead singer Johnny Borrell about his plans.
A source told The Mirror: "Al wasn't happy when he heard about it and immediately phoned Johnny. The Razorlight singer is really passionate about the environment and assured Al that he will off-set all his carbon emissions by planting loads of trees. There was no other way for him to fulfil his commitments and he admits that the whole situation was unfortunate."
