Pete Doherty has been pulled over by police less than 24 hours after checking into a rehab clinic, reports say.

The Babyshambles singer - who is battling addictions to heroin and crack cocaine - entered the Detox 5 clinic in North Yorkshire on Sunday but is thought to have left soon afterwards.

Within 24 hours, he was stopped by police in London's Regents Park for throwing rubbish out of a taxi window and given a £100 fine for littering.

A witness told The Sun: "He looked pretty sheepish, like he was embarrassed to get done for such yobbish antics."

The 28-year-old's solicitor confirmed that the detox program will begin next Monday.
