The late Princess Diana and John Travolta have topped a poll to find the Most Memorable Screen Dance Of All Time.

The pair's moves at a White House function in 1985 beat the lake scene from Dirty Dancing and a routine from Saturday Night Fever to take top spot.

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers came in fourth, while Flashdance took fifth position. Travolta appeared in the survey for the third time with his 'Greased Lightning' sequence finishing tenth.

Britney Spears' panned performance at the recent MTV Video Music Awards was voted the Most Embarrassing Screen Dance Of All Time.

UKTV Gold conducted the poll to mark the start of the new series of US reality show Dancing With The Stars.
