Dave Gahan fears for Doherty, Winehouse

Rocker Dave Gahan has said he is worried about the health of Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse.

The singer says he can sympathise with the pair as a former addict and believes it will be tough for them to give up their habits.

Gahan told the Daily Star: “I feel an identification with them both. There’s so much temptation wherever you go in this industry.

"Nobody can tell them to get clean, they have to do it themselves."

The Depeche Mode frontman nearly died from a drugs overdose in 1996.
