Amy Winehouse has been left heartbroken after her husband Blake Fielder-Civil was told that he would have to spend Christmas in jail earlier today.

Fielder-Civil has been accused of trying to halt the trial in which he and friend are accused of causing GBH with intent on a barman. He is said to have offered to pay off the victim with £200,000 in exchange for him withdrawing his statement.

The judge told the court: "He will be remanded in custody on both matters until January 18."

On hearing the news Winehouse mouthed "I love you" to her husband and blew him kisses while fighting back tears.

The judge added that the trial for all four men involved in the incident will take place on June 23 next year.

Both Fielder-Civil and his accused friend, Michael Brown of Carshalton, Surrey, deny the allegations. Anthony Kelly, 25, of Chalk Farm, North London and 36-year-old licensee James King who was reportedly offered the sum of money, will also appear in court.

Winehouse's husband is due back in court for a plea and directions hearing on January 18, alongside the other three men.
