Cowell wouldn't save Terri from sinking ship

Simon Cowell has admitted that he would rather save himself than his long-term girlfriend Terri Seymour from a sinking ship.

When a US chatshow host asked him which three people he would rescue, the X Factor judge upset Seymour by nominating Paula Abdul, his mother and himself.

Seymour, who has dated Cowell for four years, reportedly "looked crushed and stormed out".

Cowell has previously insisted that he would never take Terri down the aisle because he is not the "marrying type".
