Jerry Seinfeld has revealed that he is considering a return to stand up comedy in London.

The US star told radio station Heart that he misses performing in the UK and his visit to the capital had inspired him to start again.

He said: "I would love to. Since I've been here, I've been talking of a lot of people about it. I think it's a great idea. I'm going to definitely look into it.

"The audiences here are great and I haven't been here for a long time. I think it might be fun."

The 53-year-old - who has been in the country promoting animated film Bee Movie - last performed stand up on a London stage in 1998. His co-star Chris Rock is scheduled to play a series of sold-out shows in the UK in January.

Bee Movie hit the top spot in the US box office chart last month, but has now slipped to number nine.
