Seymour sells mansion after party rows

Jane Seymour has sold her country home after neighbours tried to stop her using it for late night parties.

The 56-year-old, a contestant in recent US show Dancing With The Stars, is thought to have put the mansion on the market after tiring of complaints from residents in St Catherine, near Bath.

Seymour and producer husband James Keach have sold the property to an unnamed buyer, her estate manager revealed.

The actress won a court case last month relating to a 24-hour alcohol and entertainment licence she was granted in May. The earlier decision had prompted local villagers to form an action group to bring the issue to court, claiming the parties had caused an increase in traffic and that the Grade I-listed house was unsuitable for noisy events.

However, Bath magistrates ruled that Seymour had done nothing wrong and refused to amend the licence.

Local residents branded Seymour the "neighbour from hell", accusing her of being aloof and only interested in money, while she in turn described them as fame-seekers obsessed by "jealousy" and "nimbyism".
