Depp: My family gave me reason to exist

Johnny Depp has revealed that his family have given him "a reason to exist".

The actor met partner Vanessa Paradis on the set of movie The Ninth Gate in 1998 and the couple now have two children, eight-year-old Lily-Rose and Jack, five.

Depp, who now spends most of his time in his girlfriend's native France, said: "My family is my sanctuary. I live for them now. I finally found a reason to exist in this world."

He added: "There is nothing like it. I would give everything away, if I could only keep my family."
