Depp 'will never settle in one country'

Johnny Depp has revealed that he will never settle in one country because he feels trapped if he is not constantly on the move.

The actor lived in more than 20 different areas while growing up and becomes restless if he spends too much time in one place.

He and partner Vanessa Paradis and their children Lily-Rose, eight, and Jack, five, now have homes in both France and Los Angeles.

He said: "We try to stay in France for six months a year, and then we live in LA for six months. It has to do with my upbringing. I don't like to be stuck in one place for too long.

"We were total nomads when I grew up. We travelled around all the time. It's ingrained into my psyche, into my being. I think it's good for kids to get out there and see the world. There are other interesting places than just the United States."

Depp recently claimed that his family have given him "a reason to exist in this world".
