Police interviewed Winehouse as part of an ongoing investigation at a North London police station last night.
Husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently remanded in custody, is due to appear in court next month on the same charge.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: "A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by appointment at an East London police station.
A spokesperson for the singer commented: "Amy Winehouse attended a London police station today on a voluntary basis at a pre-agreed time.
"She was arrested, as is common practice, she is being interviewed by police. No charges have been brought."
