Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman is pregnant

Edith Bowman has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.

The Radio 1 DJ is expecting a baby with her boyfriend of two years, Editors frontman Tom Smith, in June 2008.

Bowman told the Daily Mirror: "It's the best Christmas present we could have wished for. We are both absolutely delighted."

The Scottish presenter will continue to host her afternoon radio show for the time being.
