The actor split up with Rafaeli in October but they were spotted holding hands in Hollywood last week at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills.
A source claimed that the pair never officially finished their relationship, despite the model being linked with pro surfer Kelly Slater since the split.
The insider told US Weekly: "They were never really off. It was always a distance thing - Leo was making a movie in Morocco, and Bar had her modelling career.
"It's a struggle to make a relationship like theirs work, but yes, they're together."
