Sean Penn is getting divorced from his wife Robin Wright Penn after 11 years of marriage, according to reports.

The pair starred together in 1997 movie She's So Lovely and 1998 film Hurlyburly. Penn was married to Madonna in the 1980s.

The 47-year-old previously spoke about his relationship with his wife, saying: "Marriage ain't easy, but it's great most of the time... I love Robin. I've always loved her."

No other details have been given about the relationship breakdown.
