The former OC actress was allowed to leave the police station with her family after spending much of yesterday in jail.
She left the West Hollywood building by the rear door and immediately stepped into the back of her parents' car, avoiding contact with the waiting paparazzi.
Barton, 21, was pulled over while driving her white Range Rover in West Hollywood at around 3am on Thursday morning after her vehicle was spotted straddling two lanes of traffic. She was also alleged to have made a turn without signaling.
Officers then discovered that she did not possess a valid driver's license and was driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to US reports, she was mistakenly booked under the name 'Burton' on her arrival in custody, where her bail was set at $10,000.
