Lily Allen has said that she won't be sending her kids to private schools because they are a "waste of money".

The singer claimed that the education of her children was important but argued that she would prefer to move to a good catchment area rather than pay for a private education.

She told the Mirror: "I want to be living in an area that's a good catchment for schools and that's all I care about.

"I won't be sending my kids to a private school. It's a waste of money."

Allen revealed in December that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Ed Simmons.
