Toni Collette gives birth to baby girl

Australian actress Toni Collette has given birth to a baby girl.

The Muriel's Wedding star announced in July that she was expecting her first child with musician husband Dave Galafassi.

The couple, who have been married for five years, welcomed the arrival of Sage Florence Galafassi on Wednesday.

Collette's spokeswoman told the Associated Press: "Both mother and baby are very well and very happy."

The 35-year-old starred in 2006 Oscar-winning comedy Little Miss Sunshine, as well as The Night Listener and Sixth Sense.
