Panettiere auctions clothes for charity

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere has started selling her clothes to help raise funds for a new whales charity.

The actress made the headlines last year after she attempted to rescue a pod of dolphins from an annual slaughter by Japanese fisherman.

She has now launched the website PanettiereCloset.com, which is selling off items of her wardrobe to raise funds for the Save The Whales Again campaign.

Items that are in high demand will be sold via auction.

A message of the site reads: "By purchasing items from this website, you will be aiding Hayden in her fight to raise awareness about the threats dolphins and other whales face worldwide.

"All items come directly from the actual home of the Heroes star! Many of these designer items are new and have never been worn, while some have been worn by Hayden once."
