Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have started considering the possibility of adopting a baby, say reports.

Speaking at a Malawi benefit concert, Paltrow said that she wasn't averse to the idea and claimed that her husband was very keen.

Paltrow commented: "My husband wants to adopt. So I don't know. I'm sort of open."

She also revealed that it was more likely the pair would adopt a child from the US rather than from Africa like Madonna and Angelina Jolie.

The actress said: "We might get one from Brooklyn. No baby is more helpless than another baby. And I'm a New York girl.

"People who have a lot often feel they have a lot to give."

The couple already have two children together, three-year-old daughter Apple, and one-year-old son Moses.
