Mel B hits out at tour rift rumours

Mel B has hit out at rumours that the Spice Girls cut short their reunion tour because they were constantly arguing.

The band announced that they had cancelled planned gigs in Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina earlier this month and it was subsequently suggested that a rift was behind the decision.

But Mel told Access Hollywood that there was no truth in the reports, saying: "We have been best friends for 14 years. We haven't been in each others' lives constantly for those 14 years but there's always a stream of communication and loyalty towards each other."

She added that she was irritated by the constant speculation about relations within the group and urged fans not to believe the rumours.

She said: "It's so not true and I'd hate to think that people out there believed it, because it's stupid. We love each other. We adore each other. This time round none of us have had any fallouts. We get on, and if we don't get on we correct it just like you do with your girlfriends.

"We don't see each other 24/7. Don't forget that we all have our families and our husbands travelling with us. In the day we'll do our own thing. We just relax and then get together during the show at around 4-ish and then the magic begins!"
