Keith Floyd has been released from hospital after collapsing at a friend's pub two weeks ago.

The TV chef, 64, experienced breathing difficulties at The Chesters pub in Newcastle-under-Lyme after returning from a six-week trip to Thailand.

He suffered a similar complaint a year ago and was previously cleared by doctors in 2006 after a lung cancer scare.

His manager Stan Green told Sky News: "He's out of hospital, I spoke to him this morning. But he's very tired and he needs a rest and some time to convalesce.

"I've taken a couple of months out of his diary for him to rest at his home in the south of France."
