Winehouse's rep denies hotel damage claims

Amy Winehouse's spokesman has denied that the singer trashed her hotel room before Wednesday's Brit Awards ceremony.

It had been reported that she caused more than £3,000 worth of damage at London's exclusive Riverbank Plaza, where she has been staying since leaving rehab two weeks ago.

According to The Sun, three members of staff spent two hours tidying up after she left cigarette butts, knickers and empty champagne bottles strewn around the room and laid a wall mirror on the wooden floor. A source claimed the bath had to be "scrubbed and unblocked from balls of matted hair".

However, her publicist Chris Goodman told Now: "The hotel have confirmed that there's not been any damage and there's nothing to pay for."

Winehouse was reported to have trashed her dressing room at the MTV European Music Awards last November.

Her mum Janis has predicted that her daughter will split from husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
