Leona Lewis sells Brit Awards dress

Leona Lewis is selling the purple Roberto Cavalli dress she wore at the Brit Awards to raise money for Sport Relief.

The specially-designed gown, which was created from more than 55 metres of materials including taffeta and tulle, will be auctioned on eBay today.

Cavallli's team worked for nearly 50 hours to ensure that the one-off dress was ready for last month's ceremony.

The designer said: "It's been a great pleasure for me to work with Leona Lewis right from the start. She has beautiful eyes, an incredible voice and a fresh and positive attitude.

"I'm happy that a dress I have created for her for an important occasion is now being auctioned for a charity. It's a sign of her great generosity and I'm proud that the name Roberto Cavalli is linked to it."

Lewis wore the gown while performing number one smash 'Bleeding Love'.
