Hatton impressed by Shepherd's boxing

GMTV presenter Ben Shepherd has impressed Ricky Hatton with his boxing skills.

Shepherd will be fighting popstar Lemar in a three-round bout for Sport Relief this weekend.

British light welterweight star Hatton said he was amazed by the TV host's fitness levels and claimed Shepherd didn't look like an amateur.

Hatton told him: "I'm really impressed. You certainly don't look like a novice. From a stamina point of view, I've seen many people come in the gym and crumble on their first day but that didn't happen."

Speaking about his session with Hatton, Shepherd said: "It's great to be mentored by such an amazing boxer."

The boxing match is on BBC1 on Friday.
