Swayze spotted smoking cigarette

Patrick Swayze has been spotted smoking a cigarette after a chemotherapy session in California.

The actor, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this month, was pictured looking "gaunt" and "thin" while boarding a private jet to LA with his wife Lisa.

A source told The Mirror: "He didn't care who saw him. He looked painfully thin and gaunt. It was so sad to see."

Research suggests that a third of pancreatic cancer cases can be linked to smoking.

Swayze was forced to pull out of his latest movie Fired Up! earlier this week, so that he could focus on recovering from the disease.
