Heath Ledger had significantly more assets than the $145,000 listed in his will, it has been claimed.

Larry Williams, estranged father of Ledger's former fiancée Michelle, has challenged the late actor's dad to be honest about how much his son was worth.

He told Australia's Sunday Telegraph: "It's real simple: just come clean with everything. It's so easy to resolve this. [Kim Ledger] just has to say where the income went and where the assets are.

"I'm certain that there is grieving in the Ledger family but [lawyers for] Kim have already filed papers in New York, so it seems like it's time to be transparent about it."

According to TMZ, Ledger's will was drafted in 2003, before he met Williams and had daughter Mathilda, now two.

It therefore does not include income from later movies The Brothers Grimm, Brokeback Mountain, Casanova, I'm Not There and The Dark Knight.

He may also have accumulated money from profitable investments, the website claims.

Ledger died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January.
