Denise Van Outen has admitted that she wants to keep her relationship with Joseph star Lee Mead low-key.

The talent show judge claimed that she is keen to maintain her privacy and has turned down numerous opportunities to capitalise on her romance in the media.

"I'm not hiding our relationship, but I don't want to be a celebrity couple," Denise told Celebs on Sunday. "I don't want to make money out of us being together.

"We've been asked about advertising his 'n' hers mobile phones. People have even started asking if we'd do a fly-on-the-wall documentary and I'm like: 'No!' If I ever got married I'd never sell my wedding."

Van Outen added that she disapproves of celebrities like Kerry Katona, who make a living out of publicising their personal lives.

"I'm obsessed with Kerry's TV show, but I don't want to expose my relationship in that way," she explained. "I've always prided myself on working, doing an actual job, but to be a celebrity with nothing to back it up, to just have a column in a magazine and do a commercial... that's not much of an achievement, surely?"

Denise met Lee on the set of Any Dream Will Do last year. They started dating at the end of 2007, months after Mead was announced as the public's choice to take on the role of Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End musical.
