Jennifer Ellison has said that she would like to appear in a remake of Pretty Woman.

According to the Daily Star, Ellison described Julia Roberts's romantic comedy as a dream role and confessed it was her ambition to star in an updated version of the movie.

She said: "I absolutely love Julia in Pretty Woman. That is my all-time favourite role. I like how lighthearted it is."

The original movie, which starred Roberts and Richard Gere, told the story of a rich businessman who ends up falling in love with a hired prostitute.

Roberts won a Best Actress nomination at the Oscars for her role as hooker Vivian Ward.
