Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are reportedly planning a holiday to Hawaii to work on a reconciliation.
The couple's divorce was finalised last July and they are currently embroiled in a high-profile custody battle over sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
However, Star magazine claims that they have been spending time together in the hope of becoming friends.
A source said: "They saw each other [at] Easter. That meeting went so well that Britney and Kevin have agreed to take a trip away from the glare of Hollywood to work on their relationship.
"Kevin wants to take Britney away to see if there is anything to salvage between them. When he suggested it to her, she told him she was ready to go anytime he was."
Federline's spokesman has denied the report, insisting that rumours of a vacation are "not true".
Spears's new single 'Break The Ice' is released in the UK on April 14.
