Clooney has his eye on Macca's new love

Paul McCartney could face competition from George Clooney as he tries to win Nancy Shevell's heart.

Macca was spotted getting close to US socialite Nancy during a holiday in the Caribbean this week.

Later in the week, they travelled to New York together and met Clooney at the Carlyle Hotel.

According to The Mirror, Clooney later told friends: "Paul McCartney's girlfriend is definitely keeping him young! He's done pretty well for himself - I wouldn't say no!"

McCartney's children have reportedly expressed concerns that he is rushing into the romance.
