Bruce Willis to... Amy Winehouse - While making the press rounds for last year's Die Hard 4.0 Bruce was enthusiastic in his admiration for Amy Winehouse. "Amazing. She has a f***ing amazing voice! She's kind of like Janis Joplin, hits a bottle of Jack from time to time," Bruce said. Let's hope his love of Winehouse doesn't prompt him to make a return to the recording studio. Cowell, of course, foresaw the success, saying on The X Factor that he could see Leona "transform from a great singer into a superstar".

Simon Cowell to... Anna Friel - One of Cowell's first major successes was launching the singing careers of Robson & Jerome. He backed their cover of 'Unchained Melody' and it spent 7 weeks at the top of the UK charts. Anna Friel, however, is one that got away. The actress revealed she turned down a big offer from Cowell to become a popstar: "I was perfect fodder but had set my goal on acting. I met Simon six years later, in New York, and he said it was the smartest thing I ever did."

Anna Friel to... David Beckham - Since making headlines for her lesbian kiss on Brookside, Friel has managed to successfully shake off her soap star label. One of her recent high-profile films was Goal!, a zero to hero tale about a young Mexican who becomes a pro footballer. Friel played the film's love interest, while David Beckham appeared in the movie as a parade of soccer icons starred as themselves in an effort to make Goal! seem that bit more credible than the Sly Stallone-as-a-POW-goalkeeper in Escape to Victory.
