Jessica Alba treated a heart disease patient after being contacted by the Kids Wish Network.

The mother of Adina Kent, a nine-year-old girl who suffers from the condition mitral valve regurgitation, contacted the organisation to explain that her daughter idolises Alba and dreams of becoming an actress.

The Kids Wish Network then teamed up with Alba to come up with a special treat for Adina. She and her mother Vina were flown out to Los Angeles and enjoyed a day with the actress, spending time getting makeovers at a salon before visiting the city's boutiques.

"I wanted to meet Jessica because I really look up to her," Adina told Star magazine. "I was so excited when I first saw her, I was jumping up and down.

"She was everything I thought she'd be and more. She was like the big sister I've always wanted."

Alba is currently expecting her first baby with film producer Cash Warren. She is reportedly planning to name the child Honor.
