The coupled welcomed the arrival of baby boy Max, Kerry's fourth child, at the Macclesfield District General hospital in Cheshire on Friday.
Katona had been admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after going in to labour one month early.
However, according to the News of the World, Kerry's husband Mark was so unexcited when she told him her waters had broken that he carried on playing a computer game.
"I woke up. Mark was on his Xbox and I just lay there watching him for a bit," Katona revealed. "Then I sat up and went, 'Ooh, the waters have gone'. How calm was I? Cool as a cucumber."
Mark added: "Truth is she's so used to it. She's had loads of them, hasn't she?"
A source on Kerry's MTV show Crazy In Love said: "Kerry got that boy out in three pushes. It was a natural birth and everything seemed to go smoothly. She allowed our cameras there to record it all."
