Kylie Minogue has bought a £3 million home to make up for failing to crack the US charts, says reports.

According to The Sun, the pop singer is disappointed her X album didn't chart inside the US Billboard Hot 100 and is splashing out on a country estate in Sussex to compensate.

The home is apparently near a property owned by Robbie Williams and reportedly includes a chapel.

A source is quoted as saying: "Kylie was really upset when her album X failed to break into the Billboard chart.

"When she got back to the UK she decided it was the right time to treat herself. She has been thinking about buying a home in the English countryside for a while and thought that would be the thing to put a smile on her face."
