Aniston gives $30,000 to Oprah guests

Jennifer Aniston has given $30,000 (£15,000) to seven competitors who took part in a charity fundraiser on Oprah Winfrey's TV show.

The contestants taking part in Oprah's Big Give were asked to compete against each other and raise as much money as possible.

Aniston, who was a guest on the show, was so impressed by their efforts that she gave them all $10,000 (£5,000) in cash.

However, after hearing what each contestant had done, Aniston decided to increase her payment.

She said: "That just felt too good. I personally would like to triple it. So we're going to go $30,000 (£15,000). Guys, thank you for doing this and inspiring everybody."

Simon Cowell paid off a US couple's $162,000 (£80,000) mortgage on Winfrey's TV show last month.
