Lindsay Lohan's mugshot has been used to launch a campaign against a device to help prevent drink-driving.
The American Beverage Association, which promotes responsible drinking, used a photo of the actress taken after her DUI arrest last year in an ad in newspaper USA Today.
The full-page advertisement was objecting to the use of ignition interlocks, which prevent intoxicated motorists from starting their cars. Lohan's image was used as an example of the kind of "hard-core drunk drivers" which the locks are aiming to keep off the roads.
The ABI is against the device, saying placing one in every car would signal an end to "moderate and responsible drinking prior to driving".
Lohan, 21, checked into rehab three times last year and spent 84 minutes in jail for driving under the influence and cocaine possession.
The ABI said mugshots of other celebrities arrested for DUI will be used in later campaigns.
