Fans walk out of Jimmy Carr gig

More than 100 fans reportedly walked out of a Jimmy Carr show after a fault developed with the sound.

Many audience members were unable to hear the comedian's jokes during Saturday's gig at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham.

Richard Brown, 20, told the city's Evening Post: "A couple of hundred people walked out about halfway through. There were major problems with the sound from the start for people sitting along the sides."

He added: "The stalls and middle tiers were fine but lots of people were affected."

Refunds were offered to disgruntled fans and the problem was rectified in time for the second half.
