EastEnders star Charlie Brooks has vowed that she will never weigh more than 9st again.

The actress - who will make a permanent return to the BBC soap as Janine Butcher later this year - dropped from a size 16 to a size 8 following the birth of daughter Kiki in 2005.

She told New! that she was determined not to revert to her past figure after gaining a stone over Christmas.

She said: "I'm now back down to 8st 10lbs and I've never felt better. It's changed how I look, what I wear, the way I eat. It's really turned my life around. I feel much sexier."

Brooks revealed that she has kept a photograph on her phone to help stay motivated to shed the pounds, saying: "After I put a stone back on I took a picture of me each week in the bikini I plan to wear this summer. I then kept it on my mobile phone as an incentive to achieve my goal weight.

"I'll never go over 9st again - not ever. I won't buy a dress above a size 10 because that way I know I've got to keep like this to fit into it."

She added: "It's goodbye jelly belly, hello cheekbones! And that's how it's going to stay."
