Metcalfe accused of trashing hotel room

Ex-Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe has been accused of causing "major damage" to a hotel room.

According to Page Six, Metcalfe ruined a complementary suite at the Ivy Hotel in San Diego following a party he hosted.

A source said: "There was major damage. His suite had cigarette burns in the furniture. There was food all over the walls and a broken door.

"All of the alcohol in the bar had been drunk. [Metcalfe] was asked to leave."

Metcalfe's representatives denied the damage was caused by the actor, saying the mess was made after he had checked out.

Last year, Metcalfe voluntarily entered rehab for alcohol abuse following an altercation with a member of staff at Hollywood's Mondrian Hotel.
