Play resumes at Celtic Manor

Today heralds a rather more overcast scene at the Northern Rock All*Star Cup, although it is to be hoped that the rain stays away and blue skies beckon. With today's pairings switched, though Europe are ahead on holes, there's still everything to play for at the Celtic Manor resort.

Unfortunately for Chas Palminteri, an injury to his elbow means he's had to pull out of the tournament, leaving actor and husband to Jane Seymour James Keach to fill in on the final day of play for Palminteri, who reportedly played the final few holes yesterday with ice on his elbow! Keach has described his golf as "erratic", but doesn't seem too pressurised by the situation.

Tony from London wondered what the stars are really like - well, Alice Cooper is very polite and modest, Ronnie Corbett is even more tiny than he looks on the TV, Meatloaf is quite, quite mad, Bradley Walsh and Chris Evans are both affable, funny men who spent quite a bit of yesterday interacting with the crowd. Ross Kemp didn't say anything much to anyone yesterday, whilst Jodie Kidd is even more beautiful in real life. Anyone for any more?

It's always interesting to see what people are like in real life, and according to some guests at Saturday night's gala dinner, the entire evening was badly organised, with bad lighting upsetting Bruce Forsyth as he attempted to host an auction. The swift departure of stars post-dinner also upset those who had expected to be able to, in their words, "hob-nob" with the stars for at least a few minute after imbibing their wine!

However, these problems don't sem to have bothered the stars playing in the tournament, or the fans, who have turned out in their droves - reportedly 30,000 today, meaning I may have slight problems venturing out of the media centre and around the packed course. Play's just kicked off today, and Alice Cooper looks quietly confident that the fourball games will go the way of the US. Whether this actually happens remains to be seen, as both Jodie Kidd and Michael Johnson managed to hit their first ball of the day onto the fairway of the 18th!

So, in summation, the pairings for today are:

Damian Lewis and Jodie Kidd vs Alice Cooper and Michael Johnson
Bradley Walsh and Ross Kemp vs Aidan Quinn and Jane Seymour
Bruce Forsyth and James Nesbitt vs Patrick Duffy and James Keach
Ronan Keating and Ruud Gullit vs Richard Schiff and William Baldwin
Ian Wright and Chris Evans vs Richard Burgi and Meatloaf
