April showers: Wet-look hair
The month of April is notoriously wet and this year has been no exception. The damp weather isn't all bad news though; it's the perfect inspiration for a variety of unisex wet-look hairstyles. Here are my favourite do's and a guide on how to achieve them.
Jennifer was the name on everybody's lips during awards season this year! She manages to ooze effortless style and this wet-look hair do is no exception! For this look I recommend using the Sebastian Professional Liquid Gloss when blow drying to create a smooth, polished finish.
Comb the hair back off the face and run some of the Sebastian Professional Gel Forte through the roots, hold the hair back with a barrette clip either side of the head close to the nape of the neck. Finish with a light mist of UNITE Session Max Spray.
Megan is famous for her ability to carry off a perfect Hollywood glamour look. However, I love this twist to the classic look, incorporating the classic waves with the ultra-modern wet-look trend. To recreate this look start by blow-drying the hair backwards away from the face, ensuring you are not creating a definitive parting. Then take a wide barrel curling tong to create waves all over.
Next, brush out the curls to loosen them up a bit. Take UNITE Wicked Wax Finishing Pomade and smooth over the roots of the hair, pushing backward to ensure the hair is lying flat to the head. If you feel the hair needs a little extra hold, comb some Sebastian Professional Gel Forte through the roots and let the tousled waves hang loose.
Camilla always looks polished and stylish which makes her the perfect candidate to rock the wet-look style. This look is easy to achieve with the right products. I recommend using Sebastian Professional Gel Forte which holds shape without being stiff of sticky. To create this look you will need to start by using a fine tooth comb to create an extreme side-parting, then take some Sebastian Professional Gel Forte and smooth over the top of the hair to diminish any flyways.
Secure the hair in a low-ponytail at the nape of the neck. If you want to hide the hair band you can wrap a small section of hair around it and secure with a hair grip. Finish the look with a misting of Sebastian Professional Trilliant to give the hair that glossed finish.
Bradley Cooper is the man men want to be and ladies want to be with. Never one to disappoint, he look characteristically dashing on the Oscars red carpet this year. His look is one which is becoming increasingly popular amongst men around the globe. To create a look like this I recommend using the Hanz de Fuko Modify Pomade which creates texture and shine on wet or dry hair.
Start working some of the Modify Pomade through damp hair and then use a fine tooth comb to create a side parting. Comb the hair back off the face and tuck behind the ears, keep combing the hair until it is completely smooth and finish with a misting of the Sebastian Profession Shaper Zero Gravity Hairspray.
