Lily Allen: 'I'm not washed up'

Lily Allen has retaliated against Perez Hilton for calling her "washed up".

The 22-year-old singer has come under fire from the US blogger - real name Mario Lavandeira - for allegedly smoking while she was pregnant.

Hilton attacked Allen on his site, writing: "She's known these days more for being a tragic train wreck than a musician. She knows it too. That must hurt!"

Allen, who suffered a miscarriage in January, responded via her MySpace page: "It's not true, ask anyone who knows me. I didn't touch a cigarette or a drink for the few months that I was pregnant.

"I don't know why this has annoyed me so much. If I'm honest, it's probably because part of it is true these days: I am more known for being a train wreck than a musician and it does hurt.

"It's not fair to say that I'm washed up."
