Johansson denies Barack Obama crush

Scarlett Johansson has denied that she favours Barack Obama in the US presidential race because of his looks.

In an interview earlier this year, the 23-year-old was quoted as saying: "My heart belongs to Barack."

She recently admitted to emailing Obama, saying: "I feel like I'm supporting someone and having a personal dialogue with them, and it's amazing."

However, a source told the New York Daily News that the actress does not have a crush on the Democratic candidate.

"She is a surrogate [Obama campaigner]. They're not exchanging love letters. Everyone seems to be forgetting that she's engaged," the source said. "Kal Penn [actor and Obama supporter] is also a surrogate, and no one says he has a crush on Obama."
