According to The Sun, the popstar's interest in extra-terrestrial activity is forcing him to spend time away from LA.
"Rob has been taking pals out to the woods for long weekends," said a source. "He wants to live like a cowboy in a Western.
"He also has a fascination with UFOs and thinks he has more chance of seeing one away from LA’s bright lights."
Williams presented a Radio 4 documentary about aliens in May.
