Ifans reprimanded after throwing bottle

Rhys Ifans was reprimanded by police last night after allegedly throwing a bottle of beer at photographers.

The actor was leaving a benefit evening at Ronnie Scott's jazz club in London when he lost his temper with snappers gathered outside.

The bottle just missed the paparazzi but sprayed passers-by with glass as it hit the pavement.

A source told the Mail Online: "Rhys was lucky it didn’t hit anyone - it would have been a lot more serious if it had.

"As it was, the police recognised that the photographers were bothering him and just warned him to restrain himself a bit more in the future."

Sienna Miller, who ended her relationship with Ifans earlier this month, was attending a reception for new film The Edge Of Love at a nearby hotel at the time.

Friends reportedly feared Ifans was planning to sabotage the event.
