50 Cent 'must surrender guns'

Rapper 50 Cent has been ordered to give up any guns he owns under a restraining order imposed by a New York judge.

The order prevents the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, from contacting former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of his ten-year-old son.

The pair are involved a long-running dispute over money and Jackson this week began a $20 million (£10 million) defamation case against Tompkins.

Jackson's lawyer Brett Kimmel will challenge the restraining order, although he said "to my knowledge" the star has no guns.
