Mark Ronson was paid £1 million to perform at a birthday party, reports The Mirror.
The producer was hired for a surprise set at haulage heiress Freya Dawson's 21st birthday bash. He reportedly pocketed £1 million for his 45-minute appearance.
A guest is quoted as saying: "I've never known anything like it. The party was the type of thing reserved for royalty.
"The food was first-class, there was plenty of booze and Mark Ronson was great. All the girls were thrilled when they saw him come out - he was lucky to get out of there alive!
"His set was amazing and worth every penny."
The Moulin Rouge-themed party, which allegedly cost £4 million to stage, took place in a tent within the grounds of the Dawson family's Cotswolds mansion.
