Rhys Ifans 'heading back to Wales'

Rhys Ifans will head back to his native Wales following his split from Sienna Miller, The Sun reports.

The Notting Hill actor is reportedly "inconsolable" and becoming increasingly reliant on drink after his relationship with The Edge Of Love star Miller ended.

Ifans is quoted as saying: "I'm going back to Wales tonight for two weeks to get out of London and get away from it all. I just want to get back to my roots and be around my Welsh friends for a while."

A friend of Ifans confirmed that the actor hadn't taken the split well.

"Rhys has been partying very hard since the split," they said. "He knows it has to stop, so he’s going back to Wales to calm down for a period. He plans to spend some time in Cardiff and some in the countryside."
