Obama denies Johansson contact

US presidential candidate Barack Obama has denied that he is in regular contact with Scarlett Johansson.

The actress recently claimed that she was having a "personal dialogue" with Obama after he answered an email in which she expressed her support.

However, the Democratic nominee said he had only responded to one message and that Johansson does not have his personal address.

He said: "She sent one email to Reggie [Love, assistant], who forwarded it to me.

"I [wrote] saying, 'Thank you Scarlett for doing what you do', and suddenly we have this email relationship."
